7 Reasons to Buy a Puffy Mattress
Last year, I finally decided to up my sleeping game and invest in a quality new mattress. After hours of online research, I decided I wanted to go with one of those “mattresses in a box” options. And after even more research, I decided that Puffy would be the best option. I remember when I first unboxed my Puffy – I was a little too amused at how it started inflating and expanding. And the second I laid down on it, the first words out of my mouth were, “OH MY GOD.” Now, if you’re someone who sleeps on your stomach, this mattress probably isn’t for you; but stomach sleeping can lead to premature wrinkles, so… it’s probably for the best. All I know is, I was having some major back and hip problems on a daily basis, and those problems have significantly subsided since my new mattress arrived. The brand’s whole motto is that it feels as if you’re “sleeping on a cloud,” and I couldn’t agree more. So if you’re in the market for upgrading your sleep quality, here’s why I highly recommend buying a Puffy mattress:
1) Puffy is ranked as the #1 mattress on the internet.
We’ve all seen and heard a million adverts for mattresses on the internet. From Casper, to Purple, to Leesa, our Facebook ads, Subway ads, and podcast commercials are filled with companies claiming to offer “the best night’s sleep.” From several reviews, however, Puffy has beaten everyone else out. It was also featured on Ellen, so… there’s that.
2) It feels as if you’re sleeping on a cloud.
The whole gist of the Puffy mattress campaign is that it “feels as if you’re sleeping on a cloud.” And the second I jumped onto my Puffy for the first time, I knew exactly what they were talking about. O… M… G… It was like my entire body was getting hugged by an angel from every direction possible. (In other words, my lower back was completely supported. That’s good enough for me.)
3) Mattresses should be replaced every 5-7 years.
I’ve had many years when my mattress wasn’t being used – four years here, six years there. But at the end of the day, my mattress had been purchased 25 years ago. Considering the fact that you’re supposed to replace your mattress every five to seven years (a top-quality mattress lasts a good nine years), that’s pretty gross. If you’re due for a new mattress, then it’s time for a Puffy.
4) Puffy mattresses are made to order in the United States.
No offense to China, but I’m fed up with the sweatshops and crazy ass chemicals that go into their manufacturing processes. Puffy mattresses are made right here in the United States, and – unlike other mattress-in-a-box companies – they’re made to order. This means less time “marinating” in a box on a warehouse shelf, less funky fumes, and less time to inflate once it’s opened. My mattress was good to go within minutes.
5) There’s no toxins.
Many highly ranked mattresses still contain toxins from the manufacturing processes, which can actually affect your quality of sleep. Not the case with a Puffy.
6) It’s REALLY affordable.
Puffy prices range from $595 for a Twin, to $1,150 for a California King, which is pretty friggin’ reasonable for a quality mattress. You can also split your payments up through Klarna, which is what I did, so you can pay off your mattress on an easier time schedule.
7) Puffy gives back.
For me, the most important reason to buy a Puffy mattress is because the company gives back in a wonderful way. When you post a photo of your Puffy mattress on Instagram, tag @puffymattress and hashtag #shareapuffy, the company donates a brand new Puffy mattress to a children’s shelter for every ten new posts from different followers. Additionally, you can post a photo of yourself jumping on a bed to Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter with the hashtag #jumpforkids, and nominate three different friends to complete the same task within 24 hours. For every 100 posts, Puffy will donate a new mattress to shelters for homeless youth.
