We met on periscope today! I had questions about how to become a freelance writer. I’m a 29-year-old African-American female and I find that I have a interesting perspective on many topics in life. This is mainly due to my identity: I’m a feminist, 1st generation non-traditional college student, and a single mother to a middle schooler. These things have caused me to form a unique and different approach to living life in New London, CT (where I reside) compared to other black women around my age. I read and write on a daily basis and I only have 1 published article that focuses on how college women can negotiate their salary in their 1st career job after college! I’d love to get some advice from you about breaking into the freelance writing industry!
Please don’t find this weird, but I am really hoping that you’re still active and also residing in New York! I am currently a student in the East Coast and wanted to film a documentary on finding Pacific Islanders in the East Coast and asking them on their experience and how it differs from their root culture! Really appreciate it if you could reply! Thanks in advance,
