The Melt Shop, aka “Bomb.com”
Leave it to NYC to take a childhood favorite, upgrade the hell out of it, and make you think “OMG how can this be so good?” The Melt Shop is responsible for making some of the most amazing grilled cheese sandwiches you’ll ever eat. We’re talking combinations like Havarti, truffle oil, and arugula on sourdough and – my favorite – the “Shroom”, made with portobello mushrooms, goat cheese, Havarti, and pesto on multi-grain bread. Their tater tots with truffle mayo are also annoyingly delicious. (No really… I get sad whenever I’m down to the last one.)
It’s probably a bad idea to order delivery from this place every day for lunch – but it’s one of those things that is so enjoyable, it’s worth logging a couple extra hours at the gym in order to enjoy it from time to time. Not a fan of grilled cheese? The salads are also yummy. And I’m sorry you’re not as happy as the rest of us.
