I Love Lolë

A couple months ago, I came across the Lole website for the first time. Since I work from home, I pretty much live in yoga pants, PJs, or a tank top/boy short combo – so I’m all about workout wear that’s comfortable enough to lounge around in, functional enough for actual workouts, but cute enough so I don’t look like a mess if I have to make a quick Fairway run.

I never heard of Lole before, but I liked its “minimal-with-a-twist” appearance. And even though the clothes are a bit pricey, it’s obvious that the quality of the fabric and construction of the garments weren’t exactly in line with your typical workout brands. Think more… “eco-luxe” than “Lululemon basic bitch”. What I love most is the company’s boutique, yet global presence, and how there’s a more European esthetic to their designs.

My mom bought me the Juniper One-Piece for my birthday, and I haven’t been able to stop wearing it since. It’s probably THE softest thing I own, it features four-way stretch fabric, and it has pockets. And a hood. I’m obsessed with it. Now that I’m into week four of Chalene Johnson’s PiYo program, I’m even more inspired to add more yogi-chic pieces to my closet (although my budget is more along the lines of working out in my underwear).

And now, for a special message to New Yorkers: The Lole White Tour is coming to Central Park on September 2nd! Everyone dresses in white, practices yoga to live music, and receives a free yoga mat along with other goodies. Tickets are free, BUT… only via a drawing. You damn right I already entered to win.
